SAMPLE returns Friday, September 4. From 5–7 p.m., The Canopy in the Tulsa Arts District becomes the city’s opening room—new work, good conversation, and the first hours of First Friday done right.
This edition brings together multidisciplinary artist and social sculptor Trueson Daugherty and cultural convener Dr. Andreya Williams around art, place, belonging, and what becomes possible when people gather. Trueson’s participatory practice invites audiences into the work, while Andreya creates spaces where people, ideas, and communities can genuinely meet.
OPEN AIRE shapes the sonic environment with a continuous soundtrack moving through jazz, soul, global rhythms, and warm electronic textures.
SAMPLE is free and open to the public, presented by ASLUT × Experience Tulsa. Come early—the room fills fast.

SAMPLE is a relaxed, art-forward gathering designed to kick off First Friday. Each month, guests are invited to explore thoughtfully curated local art in a welcoming space with ambient sound. Come early, enjoy the atmosphere, and ease into the evening as the First Friday Art Crawl begins.
